Additional info: Son of David and Elizabeth Jane (Nee Tomlinson), Dawson. Married 1912. St Paul's, Low Moor, Clitheroe. Husband of Olive May (Nee Crockett) of Holland, Surrey. An address of The Copse, Mitton Road, Whalley is also listed. (Clitheroe Advertiser and Times -10th September 1943). Married St. Mary Magdalene. 1940. Prior to the War Thomas Dawson worked at Calderstone Hospital but at the moment we do not know in what capacity. He was a good table tennis player. Thomas lost his cousin Tom Dawson who was also in the R.A.F and held the rank of A.C.2 and killed in an accident in 1946 in the South of England whilst loading planes during the Berlin Air Lift. He was aged 20. Medals for the late Thomas Dawson and Tom Dawson were presented to a surviving family member at St Mary's Church Hall, Clitheroe on the 20th April, 2011.
