Jessie the only daughter of Mr and Mrs Lister The Bungalow, Smithies Bridge, Sawley. Joined the Navy in July 1942. Employed at Mr Cockshafts's Farm, Downham Road, Chatburn. Associated with Chatburn Parish Church and a member of the Church Institute. This is why he is on the Chatburn and Barley Memorials. Married at St Mary's Church, Gisburn 1940.
