Additional Info: Thomas Whitecross Nutter Officer Cadet was killed in an Air Raid at Sandhurst Military Academy. Mr Nutter was taking a commission in the Coldstream Guards. He was in a room with four other young men when a bomb struck the building, killing all five and injuring seventeen other men. Son of Mrs and Mr John Nutter now of 124, Station Road, Crayford, Kent and formerly of Lamb Row, Barrow, Near Clitheroe. Mr Nutter's father is a member of a well known Barrow family. He was employed as block printer at Barrow Printworks, removing with his wife and son to Crayford several years ago.
