Additional info: We have information obtained that James Newhouse was captured by the Japanese amd may well have died in captivity at their hands whilst working on a railway line or bridge. Employed prior to the war by Messrs Bradley, Cattle Food Manufacturers as a salesman. Treasurer of Bashal Eaves and Browsholme Young Farmers. This to be confirmed and was he working on the infamous Bridge on the River Kwai and adjoining railway along with thousands of other allied servicemen?
