Additional info: Norman Simpson only son of William Simpson and the late Mrs Simpson of 19 Woodfield View, Whalley. Norman had worked prior to the war at the Brockhall Institution and had joined the Navy two years prior. Details of his circumstances involving his death are not known. His Father was simply informed by communication that his son was dead. Mention is also made that he residedwith his family also in Billington. Clitheroe Advertiser and Times January 15th 1943.
