Additional info: Simion Silifants was part of a Special Service Unit (Parachutist). He had seen active service at Dunkirk, Tobruk, Sicily and of course Italy. He was one of the original Territorial A.A. Battery formed in Clitheroe just prior to the War. Son of Isaac and Rose (Nee Gordon). Married 1917. Blackburn Hebrew Congregational. Prior to the War Simion worked C.W.S Casings Department, Withgill. Father was the Manager. Born 22-1-1920. Address of 4 York Street as listed. Sister had a Hair Dressers on York Street and a three story house mentioned and presume all lived together here.
